This photograph was taken on the Louis Forshage Ranch in 1912 on the banks of the Cibolo Creek in Bexar County.  Pictured from middle left to right are Edwin Reeh (on horseback), and Charles Wuest, Louis Forshage, Peter J. Classen and Wilheim Steubing (standing).  The span of mules and buggy belonged to Wilheim Steubing.  The paint horse belonged to Louis Forshage.

The two engineers on horseback (left) nearest buggy (names unknown) proposed building a dam on the Cibolo Creek.  The pictured area ranchers were against the dam for fear of losing land due to the backup of water.  Instead, Medina Dam was built in May of 1913.
